The CONTINUUM Ignition System
The CONTINUUM Ignition system is a continuous
and automatic electronic spark ignition system,
which provides reliable ignition without the requirement
of fuel gas or electricity. The CONTINUUM Ignitor
is also fully retractable for ease of maintenance
and has internal monitoring as required by government
regulations.

Model 250 ENERGEX High Energy
Spark Pilot
The Model 250 ENERGEX Pilot is a high alloy, stainless
steel pilot which combines a high voltage electronic
Excitor, an inconel sheathed dual thermocouple
(optional), and a fuel gas line. The Model 250
Pilot provides rapid, reliable ignition and more
importantly, instantaneous re-ignition if the
pilot should ever lose its flame. This pilot system
uses a fuel gas line much like other standard
pilots, however, instead of a flame front generator
it utilizes the "Excitor" which produces
a high voltage spark directly in the pilot nozzle.
This cutting edge innovation originated in the
aerospace industry.

Model 245 Pilot and Flame
Front Generator Ignition
The Model 245 Pilot provides a constant flame
source to ignite the flare system. The pilot burner
is lit by a ground based flame front generator
which ignites an air/gas mixture in an ignition
line. The ignition of this air/gas mixture creates
a "flame front" which travels from the
Flame Front Generator to the pilot burner, thus
igniting the pilot. This method of ignition is
an effective, time proven technology which has
been widely used in flaring applications for decades.

Model 255 Combination Pilot
The Model 255 Pilot is a combination of our Model
245 and Model 250. The Model 255 Pilot can be
ignited using a flame front generator and/or the
Excitor (electronic sparking device). This pilot
provides double security in case one ignition
system should fail to light the pilot for any
reason.

Model 270 RETRAX Pilot
The RETRAX pilot has all the benefits and operational
performance of the Model 250 ENERGEX pilot, with
the added benefit that it is retractable. This
allows the operator to perform any maintenance
at grade level.

Flame Front Generator
Flame front generator technology is an effective,
time proven ignition system which has been widely
used in flaring applications for decades. The
inherent reliability, rugged construction, and
ease of operation as well as its economic advantages
have allowed the flame front generator (FFG) to
remain one of the most popular forms of pilot
ignition in the industry.

UVI-550 Pilot Monitor
The Model UVI-550 Flare Pilot Monitor is capable
of monitoring the proper operation of the Flare
Pilot from a range of up to 550 feet (167 m).
Ground level installation and superior reliability
allow for ease of maintenance and a high degree
of confidence.
